We are a sports and education charity based in Grantham working within the town and surrounding area. Working in both education and community settings our mission is to ensure children are healthier, happier and more active and we achieve this through a range of projects, initiatives and events including:
School membership – Many local primary schools work in partnership with us to help deliver high quality sports education for their pupils. We also run CPD for teachers providing 50 courses a year and work alongside teachers to upskill and give them confidence to deliver high quality PE and sport provision within their school.
Holidays Activity and Food (HAF) – We offer high quality school holiday camps based in community settings that are full of sports and activities including arts and crafts and cooking lessons. We offer free places to children in receipt of qualifying benefits such as those who receive free school meals. Every child attending receives a nutritious hot lunch and healthy snacks which is a key provision for many children when the school term ends.
Ambassadors Programme – we have a team of fantastic sporting professionals – many are Olympians and Paralympians – who advocate for us. They deliver inspirational assemblies and workshops at our local schools and support the charity by participating at events we organise.
Mini Olympics – Each Summer over 2000 local school children participate in our flagship 3-day mega sports event at the Meres Stadium, giving local children the opportunity to experience a diverse range of sports in an inclusive and fun way.
Apprenticeships – we are a registered training provider offering apprenticeships such as PE Apprentice, TA with PE Focus and School Sports Coach. The impact that these apprenticeships have is amazing; to date we have trained 500 apprentices.
