Lincoln Choral Society will be performing Durufle’s Requiem and Vaughan Williams’ Five Mystical Songs in the fabulous setting of Lincoln Cathedral on Saturday November 8th at 7.30pm. We shall be accompanied by the wonderful Father Willis organ.

The requiem blends Gregorian chants with french impressionist harmonies, the work explores humanities struggle with the mysteries of death by beautifully contrasting moment of stillness and agitation in the lead up to ultimate rest and light. 

Five Mystical Songs, a lovely set of evocative and haunting songs, with words by George Herbert.
