For the last 12 years I’ve worked in healthcare, first as a paramedic and now as an Advanced Clinical Practitioner, helping people through some of the most difficult moments of their lives.
In March 2026, I launched Mad Gainz Burger Co. with a simple idea: create a takeaway experience that offered high-protein, flavour-packed food for people who wanted something a little different.
What I didn’t expect was that Mad Gainz would become so much more than a burger business.
Every week we meet people from all walks of life and I’ve realised that our trailer has become a place where people feel comfortable opening up about their lives. Sometimes all it takes is a good burger and a friendly conversation for someone to feel a little lighter.
Our menu has quickly developed a loyal following. Our smash burgers are packed with flavour and protein, our loaded Gainz Fries have become one of our most popular menu items, and we hand-mix and prepare the dough for our authentic Neapolitan-style pizzas. Everything we serve is made with passion and a genuine desire to provide food that people remember long after they’ve finished eating it.
This summer is shaping up to be an exciting one. We have several local events booked and are looking forward to becoming a bigger part of the area’s event scene. We’re also keen to establish ourselves as a trusted choice for weddings, private parties, corporate events and celebrations of all kinds. Our ambition is simple: we want to become one of the most loved mobile catering businesses in the county, if not the country. That journey isn’t possible without the incredible support we receive from our customers, followers and local communities.
Behind the business, I’m still a family man. Alongside running Mad Gainz and continuing my healthcare career, I’m fortunate enough to have an amazing wife and five children who keep me grounded, motivated and incredibly busy.
Life is certainly hectic. Balancing healthcare, family life and a growing business isn’t always easy, but it’s a challenge I genuinely love.
