Mansfield Community Hospital is home to the Sherwood Rehabilitation Unit, a specialist multidisciplinary rehabilitation team.
Rehabilitation is provided in varying ways to allow for a programme that is tailored to an individual’s needs. Intervention may include one-to-one rehabilitation, group work or outreach visits to places of residence. The team work closely with internal and external partners in order to ensure the patient is able to access other services if required in order to provide a holistic package of care.
Their aim is to enable the client to lead as independent a life as possible in the community setting and promote a more positive attitude towards ageing.
