Includes Treatment Centre and Nottingham Children’s Hospital.
National Highways will be carrying out some work to repair a damaged bridge on the A52 at the QMC roundabout from Monday 8 July 2024. The work is expected to last until summer 2025.
The QMC is the only hospital in the country with a dedicated tram stop. Trams run every 7 minutes during peak times. There is a bridge connecting the tram stop to the B Floor level of QMC and direct access from the tram stop into the Treatment Centre.
A number of buses stop at main entrance. The Medilink runs every 10 minutes, Monday to Friday between Queen’s Drive and Wilkinson Street park and ride sites and QMC and City Hospital.
There are excellent cycle routes leading to the QMC and City Hospital. You can plan your journey online by visiting the CycleStreets website. There are spaces for more than 100 bicycles at both hospital sites.
At City Hospital, there is a Citycard Cycle Hub located on the South Road opposite Clinical Haematology. At QMC, there is a Hub located under the Tram stop, near to the Treatment Centre. To access the Citycard Cycle Hubs, you must first be registered. You can do this by visiting Russell’s Bike Shed on Queens Road on the south side of Nottingham Station. To receive a Citycard Cycle Card, there is a registration charge of £5. This will give you access to all the Council hubs in Nottingham. For more details, please visit the Citycard website.
In addition to these compounds, there are open air Sheffield stands available at both sites.
